I will try to do a simplified version of this tomorrow... its starting to look more complex than it needs to be.
All you have to remember is that every wire (well nearly all of them) that comes inside the cabin has to go to the CEP or connector block in/around auxiliary panel where it integrates with the car loom.
Here goes with pin by pin transplant guide - on second sheet of this file... I cannot make it any clearer than that
Engine will start with just 5 wires in place but the other 13 are for instruments & other functions.
See the notes at bottom of sheet and don't be confused by fact the Coupe also has a T10 plug of its own. Hopefully that is all self explanatory.
Cheers,
Paul
Thats fantastic paul, thank you very much for that. Just need to get to the car now and get that loom out! do you think it'll be easy enough to get them past the heater system? I already have the dash out and the plastic part going to the heater that houses the blower.
With dash out its a doddle... there is maybe a 6-pin T6r plug that will come out with ACE loom too but its just for HVAC which I dont think you have on the AEB anyway.
After many hours soldering the loom started coming together nicely
After a few more hours I was left with this
I am really pleased with the way it turned out, i just hope it all works now
Im still hobbling round on crutches at the mo, bored out my mind, so I decided to have a play with the engine cover.
Started off like this
And finished up with this
I know it wont be to everyone's taste but I like it, and it matches my brakes (lol you big tart).
I also got a nice package in the post the other day, thanks for the ABS sensors Peter
Also this arrived too:-
Spec stage 2 kit, only want to do this once so thought it was the best way to go.
Im hoping to be off my crutches in a week, I know its gona be tough getting back too it but I really need to get this done now, so it will be all hands on deck when I can stand properly again to get this finished.
sure have, only 0.5bar of boost and it shifts fairly quickly, although theres some blue smoke from the exhaust at the top end of third so im hoping its nothing too bad, hopefully just the £60 t28 lol i can say though that 3.25" downpipe and 3" from there with only 1 box is asbo winning loud, so now has 2 boxes in and you can hear what you passengers are saying now so thats nice
only the oil leak from behind the timing covers too sort and someone who can map it to get the turbo spinning faster after ive used it for a few weeks/months

Lol, nice! Sounds good then. I just won myself a £60 ebay t28 too, i know it has play so will get it rebuilt before it goes anywhere near the car lol. Im gona get it up and running as standard first, and get the engine run back in again while I save up a bit more money to get the other bits together for the turbo. Hoping for around October for that but we all know how plans can go
just so that i understand now, you have combined the 2 looms, so that the engine loom works with the 1.8T engine while the plug connects to the original ECU of your 16v engine? (sorry, i tried to follow the electrical cremling on the previous pages, but got lost!), some greek guys may want to do the same, so im just looking for good info!

Sorry for all the confusion on the electrics front. All I have done so far with the electrics is shorten the A4 loom.
The A4 loom has a hard rubber section that runs from the ecu box on the left hand side of the engine bay, to the right side of the engine bay, behind the bulkhead. This means that the loom is far too long for the coupe. So I cut out the rubber section and joined it all back together.
The bits about the wiring in the previous posts between me and paul are all about getting the car, ECU and engine to communicate. This I still need to do. I have some connector blocks that I will splice into the original car wiring etc that will connect to the black, brown, red and yellow connectors on the loom in the above pic. This will make the whole engine loom plug and play to the car loom.
im sure they can! I have posted this link of the thread to a greek audi forum for those interested. With the 1.6 ABK engine being so popular in Greece there are many that hate having a 101(which usually is no more than 80hp) engine on a 1.5tone car, and on the other hand, 5cyl engines are virtually non existant, while taxing of these engines is worse when ccs are higher. Therefore a 1.8T which is dead cheap from the scrapers would be a nice solution for them!
