How are you finding the Alpine headunit, i have just reserved an ex-display one that looks to be identical.

you'd get away with a 2.75inch system easily as I doubt it would need 3 inch and you'd cut down on some of the boomy noise from the 3 inch and it would be easier to fit, less chance of knocking etc. Rs2's remapped handle decent power fine with a 2.75 inch system.

Disappointing day yesterday... started off with a car that was spotless the night before, but covered in some weird dust sh*t, not happy! things got worse when I went to the dyno and found out the car was down on power because of a boost problem. So we replaced the N75 valve and it gained 0.2 bar of boost, but still not running right...
Next thing is to trace the boost problem and get it running smooth before looking at a map on the stock K03 :-(
First run:

Second run with new N75:

change the maf if you havn't got any boost leaks... theres no map sensor on these and it uses the maf to calculate how much boost it needs......Comment

also check the actuator arm for play, i had an a6 1.8t a few year back and the arm was all over the place on the original ko3Comment

yeah, we thought that might be the case, quite a crude way of doing it but we couldn't see a boost pressure sensor anywhere. We checked the N75 valve connection after fitting the new one and there was a 12v source but might have a break running to plug 64 on the ECU, so will check that out as well.
Most annoyingly is that the ECU decided it wasnt going to talk to VCDS or the Snap On ODB scanner at all, so couldnt even use that as a pointer.

OK, spend all morning on this and have to admit defeat... started off ok with a test fitment by just placing them in the car, but after that, actually trying to fit them with the full clamps and attachments was a whole other story, and to be honest, I personally wasnt happy with the results, so I will be looking at getting my existing rears retrimmed to match the fronts and putting these up for sale - cheap to clear!

If someone wants them, let me know, I'll take £150 collected, which is about £130 less then what I paid for them all in.

Just read through the whole thread. Good looking conversion.
Did not realize it would be so much hassle. I am looking to do a similar conversion when the cash is available.
Let me get this straight: Your 80 is FWD, right? What is the code of your engine? It looks like a DBW engine.
Difference is, I will go with a FWD 1.8T automatic (prefer AEB) into my FWD B4 80 2.0E automatic. Cannot drive manual anymore due to herniated disc.
The easiest way to do this conversion here is get a A4 B5 front half cut so you have everything. Surprised you had so much trouble with ECU wiring loom.
Good luck on upping the power.'96 UrS6 auto PRJ chipped E85

lee's car is a normal cable version, the one's before the dbw version.
I'd be looking into the restriction the airbox pipework is making, if you look at the pictures the ducting and the inlet pipe after the maf hose could do with looking at, the one after the maf looks to be pretty much halved so even getting that straight would let the engine breath a bit more.Comment
