didnt really make that decision, the Satin effect is pretty much what I had from the seats anyway, its just now a uniform colour and clean with all scuffs, scratches and marks gone.
I used:
Just realised you are near Harrogate, didnt even think to drop you a line last week when I was in the HIC for the Jewsons conference
Next time I am up there will drop you a line mate, hopefully I will have my car by then though

Seats look fantastic! Would you be able to tell us what order you used the products and what did you use to apply the products? I'm very interested as I need to take my seats out soon and I would love to be able to get mine to look anywhere near as good as yours.Comment

Its really simple, I used Autoglym leather cleaner all over the seats after using some white spirit to take off some paint marks that were on there.
Then was very heavy-handed with the re-colouring balm, all over the seats using a soft cloth - left them like that for about 30 mins.
Buffed them off vigourously
Used a clean cloth to apply the Leather protection cream - left for 30 and buffed off with another clean cloth
that really as simple as it gets, I cant take any credit for anything other than really grafting with the application and buffing process - the products are really that good!Comment

Cheers Lee, glad I could help out....Gotta say that thanks to Thuppu & Fat Audi 80 for the steer with regards to the leather - being that I am currently stuck waiting for the loom I figured I had no excuse but to focus on prepping the interior changes, so I set about the front seats with 2 products from the furniture clinic and my Autoglym leather cleaner - loads of rubbing and sweat later and this is the result - more than impressed I have to say!

This was the worst bolster:

The finished product:

To go with this, I managed to bag a set of rear seats with bolsters and headrests from an Audi S4, via ebay for a mere £102.01 - the only problem being that they were in Thornton-Cleverleys, but a rather helpful chap called Andy Dunn from Classic Audi is bringing them down tonight on his way to work in London.
Major props to him!
This is what they looked like in the ad, generally in good nick, but I will be treating them to the same process as the front seats!

And those seats look stunning...

bits and bobs from trip to Bahnstorm
not much to report - seats went it the front, but in the process of getting them over there and into daylight I noticed that I missed a few bits, so will be re-doing the front seats again - I want them perfect.

I also took out the steering wheel and gearknob for the same treatment - so will post some pics of that process when I do it.
in the meantime, thought I would post up some pics of the engine mounts, I know that a few people running this conversion have taken a different approach, BikerJim with his and BryFlyinBy with his GT5S - so thought I would put on for comparisons.

Finally, the Kamei bumper and original 80 one have been grafted together and look cool, but there is a misalignment issue at the corners which will need to be rectified come paint time. Very odd that two factory Audi 80 parts do not align, so that will need looking into:

Nothing else to report at the momentComment
