Finally managed to get out there and bolt the interior back in, fitted the Alpine stereo, wired in the sub and all the speakers, tuned it and got the parrot and ipod controls working - sounds killer! select bits of dynamat to kill vibrations and we are sounding tight!

Set to work on the engine bay, 4 hours, no knuckles and black nails later...

quick update
Not much been happening, but that is all about to change soon...
Car is booked in for a dyno run at Marlin Motorsport in Milton Keynes first thing on Thursday morning, this will give me a guide power output of the engine in stock mode with the S2 exhaust, intercooler and CAI kit fitted.
Car then goes back up to Aidan on Monday to have a new gearbox mount, some bushes and to have the ecu ripped out, a new board/chip welded in and a map using the standard K03 turbo, this will tide me over while I save up for the next step and temporarily sate my power needs
So, in the meantime, I went outside armed with a G3 clay bar, lubricant and a couple of hours to spare and no idea of what I was doing - I think it was the first time the car had ever been clayed and the bar was a mess afterwards, thankfully, the car wasn't and it feels so much smoother than it did before, especially after a little autoglym and polish.

Finally, I am finding that the S2 exhaust, which Aidan modified hugely to fit the car, is rattling and scraping all over the place (courtesy of two middle boxes that run under the car) - and because of this I am considering getting a custom system made by MIJ Exhausts in Walsall, reviews look good, videos on youtube and pics look good, plus I had a good conversation on the phone with them and they sound like they know what they are doing.
Thinking of 3" pipes, no middle boxes or cats, single rear backbox into twin pipes.
Anyone else had experience of them? good or bad?Comment

They are easy to find and get too as well quickest way is off M6 jn9 if you coming from the south or jn 10 from the north.
everyone who's seen that turbo keep saying am I sure it's big enough. Should be running next week
ps MIJ have their own burger van! make sure you have one it's worth the jorney just for that
