      • Not much of a update had the car detailed and was asked buy kelvin Chinsang the guy behind aitp if he could have the car at there new Audi showroom in Northampton for its grand opening .

Ish took the car there for me and said the windows in the showroom was vibrating when he was reversing the car in and every body stopped what they was doing to come and see what the noise was .

              • Yes, I think you need to prop the bonnet up too, just to confuse them, and then kick off about some trim and parts you can't get anymore

                • Has the tracking done again at the ttshop after getting the car back from Audi .

And following up from that and aitp was coming around fast I decided to take it there however I decided to use my BBS RS wheels .
I was tired of seeing polished rims and decided to convert to the dark side .

                  So on to the show

So after the show the car was booked in with Steve Sullivan at mint condition UK who specialise in paint protection film.
He is the number one guy who McLaren UK go to and recommend to customers .
So last Saturday me and ish took a drive down there to drop the car off to Steve .

As there are not templates available for the car Steve said he will make his own templates for the car .

                  • The plastic coating is a brilliant idea - did you get the whole car done or the bonnet, wings, front bumper and lower doors?

The interior looks absolutely immaculate as well, very impressive!

                    • I had the full front end and 300mm up from the cills and rear bumper so it should be stone chip free for years to come.

                            • Ok let's have a small update .
I have been driving the car for some time now and it's so much fun however the suspension and brakes are not up to the job beyond 120+ mph .
So after a long time and not wanting to buy a hole car and break it up for parts I finally located all the bits to convert mine to full S2 running gear with the added help of forged drive shafts form Audrus .
Also along the way my gearbox started to make silly noises and started crunching in 2-3 gear above 3k rpm so not wanting to take the car off the road I managed to get hold of a b5 rs4 gearbox to rebuild with a jkm carbon syncro rebuild lit with updated shift collars .

So back to the S2 parts the hubs were fully stripped down and the rears housings were machined to take the front hub however I did not want to machine out 82mm for the front bearing so I used my friend Google and he tells me there is a bmw bearing that we could use to to convert but you need to machine 1mm off the out side of the Hub to fit inside the bmw bearing .

And now on to the brakes I decided not to use hi-spec brakes like Adams car and decided AP racing was the ones for me I had a quote from bg development for £2400 for the front brakes to fit under a 15" ronal .
And after some time I decided to look on eBay and afte a month or so a set of ex demo AP callipers come up for the right price so I went ahead and percent them then borrowed a front Hub from a friend and took it with a wheel to reyland motosport and he made me the brakets and front 2 peice disks with the j hook design and he also j hook a rear set of disks (stock S2 ) however I think I will have a set of 2 peice disks made for the rear .

So to complement the S2 conversion I went and percent a set of kW v3 coilovers and Alberts sport quattro wish bones with rear tie rods and front steering arms and a lovely set of top mounts buy error aka Alex

And now to the engine I have decided to build a 2.5 stroker block with the help of Brian Tonks me and Brian will build the bottom end how ever everything has changed the cylinder head now sits on a bench in Norway with jonus racing I am going for a full Jonus race spec engine with his rods and custom Pistons with different cams and Ferreira valve train .
This coupled with a jonus exhaust manifold new turbo gen 2 pt6466 and percision waste gate 800hp + on E85.
And I'm 50/50 weather to go e throttle with ALS .

Anyhow time for some pics .

                              • Sounds like you have been busy John, some interesting mods going on there. What BHP / torqu have you been running recently that clearly isn't enough and has set the new target to 800?
