wow john, a lot has been achieved since I last saw the car in the back of Ish's place last march....I see you've managed to hang on to that snazzy oil cap!...

whats the timeline for mapping...wait until the warmer/dryer weather?...any big plans for the interior?....

Hay mike the car has come along since last year it no longer looks like a pile of scrap !

And the oil cap looks quite at home there now .

As for mapping I have no time scale in place it gets done when the car is done and I have put some miles on the engine and any little problem is ironed out .

jonus is only a couple of hours away buy plane and he will spend the weekend with us tuining ect ect .

As for my interior I have full 20v half grey interior but I have had a bespoke carpet made as the original one is a bit fubar .

But however I'm bidding on a set of recaro a8 front seats that's I will get recovered to match my 20v trim .

Hay mike the car has come along since last year it no longer looks like a pile of scrap !

It never looked like a pile of scrap at Ish's, just a neat storage system for all the parts that it came with......

I actually went for a blast in the avant yesterday....I even plugged the N75 back in...
it shifted..... it still has boost issues but it was only a get out and put some more miles on it since the re-build.....its got a few suspension qwirks to iron out (alignment and wheel balance)....fit my AFR gauge....fit my new braided lines to my newest brake upgrade...fit water meth kit....and then wait until it gets mapped.....

who knows after that....I'm hanging my nose over a KW kit but the body work is poor shape and if Danny's avant comes out as good as he says it will that could be first!

Do you have a target date/show for you beast?

I think / hope / pray it will be at aitp on display and at adi .

To be honest ill be going down the kw route after a year so afte it's finished change the running gear to s2 and swop the front berates to ap application .

Are you going to be running after market management on your car too or run it with stock ecu ?

These cars are money pits and I keep finding other things to improve on the car witch pushes the finishing time feather away but I have no dout it will be around the roads of he midlands this summer .

Motronic of course, why would I change a tried and tested system that has been used by all manner of car manufacturers along with various race teams...to any thing else...plus I cannot justify the cost of an afermarket system with the tuner's fees on top....

I am sorry you have resorted to wearing lady's cloths again after rehab I thought you was curerd !!

On my update side not a lot to tell really if the dyno day was in 2015 I might have a chance of attending it lol .
You know who these project cars take forever to complete !

But on the bright side I'll be attending the dyno day in the S3 and I have a gopro hero now if you want to go out and shoot some video .
