Dissapointing to hear about the audi tradition wings! I would be taking it up with them, that's for sure. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and get on though

A few years ago there were some re-production wings doing the rounds that did not fit, maybe these are from the same batch. Its a shame they are not better. A search on quattro forum might tell you more about the past batch of wings for what its worth.

Anyway, good luck and pleased to see how your project is progressing.

I have my foot in a boot/cast and so haven't driven mine for about 2 months, annoying!!

Well I had a knee op before christmas, and just when I thought that was sorted, my foot started complaining, an important tendon is nearly broken! This tendon is used when you point your foot ie clutch, so not good! The quattro has one heavy mother of a clutch so its a no no at the moment.

So much so that selling Focus RS to get an auto for day to day. Have a new BMW M135i
on order though, and borrowing a c5 rs6 in the meantime, every cloud and all that

No cobb webbs yet, but I'll let you know

Sachs uprated pressure plate and organic disc. Not much heavier than standard really, but still heavy compared to a lot of modern cars. Was never a problem until the driver started falling apart

I dont think having all those cross linkages (from driver to passenger side) helps the pedal feel for the brakes or clutch, i actually have some new linkage pins etc to fit when i get round to it.

Ok a small update Jp is 80% finished my engine .
bottom end is built just waiting on the +0.5 valves and supertech valvesprings and titanium retainer set to come from the states then he can Finnish up the porting and polishing on the head .

In the mean time he ported and polished the reverse manifold now it will go off to be powder coated then engraving .

All so on the Quattro front Ish and the boys have been really busy with my car and other projects.

So they started to replace all the break lines from the front of the car to te rear as the old ones had seen better days .

It's not all complete as we needed a couple of unions that was missing in the kit but we have them now so it will be finished up this week .

No on to fitting up the engine bay .
When Ish inherited my project I told him my car was all there just in boxes .

HOW wrong was I ! I have list count of the amount of fittings fixings clips bungs bolts nuts basically the ******* that striped my car down butchered it as if he was selling it for bits .
I have spent a small fourtune with Audi/quattrocorner/and other Quattro specialists in Europe as most bits are now obsolete .

And the fuel lines and fittings with filter turned up this week another job on the list .

In the next 2 weeks the car will e on its wheels rolling round the shop .

Any how here are soe pics of the engine bay .

That's it for now boys and girls .

As regards empty pockets I've resorted to pumping my self out on the weekend .

Some of the bits bungs clips ect ect are dam expensive for a bit of rubber !

Right then the car is now at the point where Ish and the lads need the engine back before they can start fitting the engine bay up and mock the intercooler set up up .

The wiring loom is all in steering rack with arms back in and dash clocks ect ect all working .

All the rear subframe assembly is on all plumbed in fuel lines are in break lines on rear callipers fitted ect ect and the 2 back wheels fitted.

Here is some snaps I took today .
