    Engine rebuild

So I have decided to do an engine rebuild before I mount the turbo etc, so I had some parts coming in this week

Yeah and a new DV from Forge.

I presume reconditioning one is not a viable option ?

    Thanks.

So I think the brakes are more firm now, before it had a bit of a spongy feeling. However sometimes I still get this weird sound just before I stop completely, sound like the abs engaging just at the last minute, has only happened once though since I changed the bomb.

After reading this thread, I think it is properly the ABS sensors that needs adjusting.

And I copied this as well. Just bought the parts. Are the connections and splits to make just behind the drivers door?

Would you mind sharing some photos what what to connect to what so I can do it as well?

    Door contact

So inspired by this for sale thread from LHD_Kid.

I went on a google hunt for a LHD door trigger with surround.
    Left side Part no.: 893837019A
    Right side Part no.: 893837020A

Found a set on eBay.de under audi 100 türgriff innen

The button with the lock key is from an A3 and the part no. is:
    8L0962107A
Seems that many german dealers sell them with the harness attached at around 10 euro+shipping.

Yeah and car past MOT today, so I have two more years.

I will fabricate a bracket for the high output pump and the fast acting valve that fits in the left wing.

I have actually not driven the car yet since my stealer forgot to give enough hydraulic oil, so I only had enough to flush the system.

Waiting to get some more so I can fill it up, should have it in this week, so will give you feedback when I can drive the car.

Edit - I was wrong, it was the master servo that the guy did refurbs on.

Was a fairly easy job and changed the rubber mount (4A0614177) as well as the o-rings (N90405401) and the banjo bolt (443612275E).

Also flushed the system and pink oil came out, guess previous owner had put something "fun" in the hydraulic resovoir.
