I've read about issues of premature coil pack failures with covers like that because of retained heat.

Otherwise carry on, build is progressing very nicely.

I ran TFSI coils on my stage 3 2.7 biturbo and they have covers over them. I never had a coil pack fail for 30.000 km. I still think they can went heat with this valve cover, but anyway if one should die every 10.000 km then they will still last 3 years or something.

That would be great, could you PM me your address? Then I can get it shipped this weekend. And you can just ship it back with the oil cooler duct.

Managed to get some work done today

                Small update:

Have had some problems with the ignition lock and I bought a new one a while back.

Got the old one out and It was cracked, so no wonder I had problems starting the car:

However the new one I got from my audi dealer was also cracked, but I had to install it anyway. I'm hoping my dealer will give me a new one.

Since the speedometer was out to change the ignition lock I also decided to install my RS2 speedometer. I was considering change the kilometers, but they are very close, so I think I will just live with the 35.000 km difference.

The car have had a really bad radio connection, so took a look at the ariel and surprise surprise it was not connected properly.

Installed a shark finn ariel instead, but I need some kinda adaptor between the radio wires:

Got my weight stickers on the car, which are need because it is a van. Fine is 100ÂŁ so good that was sorted.

And finally I bought a new S2 specific sticker for the fuse box, since it was missing.

                                New rear tail lights

So I had some time today and managed to get my black hella tail lights installed.

I really think I need the 90 middle tail light but cant find a decent one.

Also previous owner had forgot to use the sticky sealing on one of the tail lights.

The part no. for 2,5m of the black sealing stuff is:
                                AKD 497 010 04 R10

                                Some installation pictures:

                                The finished results:
