Tighten to 40 NM in order
Tighten to 60 NM in order
    Additional 1/2 turn in order

So you increase the torque 20nm for the second stage

Head is going on tomorrow; head bolts are tightened 40Nm+60Nm+180°. So between stage 1 and 2, is it additional 20 or 60?

Might be a daft question but this is my first head replacement I've done in my own.

I used all of my valves, as I knew they're all straight. I might regret using old valves later, but it is what it is.

This was a good, low-ish miles head with a couple of bent valves. I guess Jannis has made up the number with some of his own valves, hopefully he's lapped them in!
Probably got 100k left in it!

Replacement head looks to be very low mileage therefore I am not worried about overly worn guides.
I'd park it to gather some funds and do it proper now. But that's me.

The guides are only the half. Valves also get worn.

I remember that the spark plug failed. That's a pity... No backup car available?

Why would you want to stick old valves in a new head? Especially the exhaust? Have you measured the wear of the valveguides?

If you take the head off for a rebuild, then why do it halfway? The valveguide wear is usually pretty considerable and at least on our side is measured only with new valves. If the new valves have play = replace valve guides. The springs and retainers can be left alone, if not shot or not intending to increase rev limit.

Besides, the parts for this head are not so expensive and should be even more accessible than in Latvia...

    It's your call of course...
