I am getting this noise from the underside of the car on cold starts. Sounds like one of the propshaft CV's have given up. I have a spare waiting for rebuild and balance but in the meanwhile, Is there anything major that can happen?

MOT passed Emissions were high, CO about 0.5 over the limit, so sports cat is something that needs to be considered when new exhaust is made.

Also received some parts for rear suspension rebuild thanks to goodazz on here, nice guy to deal with. delivery was very quick too.

Slowly getting there, most work done is under the skin

Glad she's getting the treatment she deserves. Hopefully you didn't find many hidden gremlins.

Finally got round painting the repairs wing. Considering it was done on a driveway with rattle cans it isn't a bad outcome but I didn't do a good job blending it in. Is there anything I can do at this stage to make it blend it more?

Subframe bushes and gearbox mounts done, pretty easy job if you have the right tools Rear bushes were completely shot, could move them about by hand and probably what caused horrid noise when backing up.

Front end feels more solid, and you can feel more vibration through the front of the car but nothing that bothers me, as handling improvement outweighs it by miles.

I have noticed bad vibration through steering wheel at high speed but it could be down to wheels being buckled (AGAIN! ) by lovely Leeds roads I will re-balance wheels and see if that helps.

You have force of 20 double springs pushing back against the cam lobes. They should be stiff to turn.
