Decided that front shocks must be done before next weekends' trip, so they've been ordered.

You don't have to remove the strut to just replace the shock insert inside it.

Here is a DIY that included replacement of the white ball bearing strut bearing at the same time:

Correct. Only if you need the clearance to get to the cap on the strut where the shock comes out of the strut body. (NOT the "Retainer")

Good luck trying to get the cap off without removing the spring haha! Stilson and some pipe. I guess it could be done if you had the proper tool which fits in the internal hex in the cap, but it's a bit of a niche tool.

KME Gold is on the order next. Heard people say there is more power with LPG, but don't know how true it is. I guess I should dyno her on both, petrol and LPG

I've heard it's harder on the exhaust valves/seats?

Speaking to Diesel Des and PRJ, both strongly recommended to fit wideband lambda to control EGT I think so you don't damage valve seats/valves.

Equally people say they're running LPG without wideband lambda and is all good.

Won't be fitting one straight away, but will do in coming month
