Yes, the WG is not bolted in at all yet - I wanted a pic with all the shiney bits on the car - bolt that on and plumb in the WGFV tomorow.

Greg - you will probably have to take off the cap and loosen the top hex nut - Is mihnea going to stick a bigger spring in yourrs?
Havent asked him about the WG spring yet, thought about it the other day, cant do much until ive got all the bits really though.

Will have to wait until more bits arrive first.

                Drove it tonight

It all worked - I was dreading the new fuel pump not working or water/oil ******* everywhere.

Couldn't drive it fast as it now needs remapped

Next step is to get the catch tank mod done, then get the big injectors on and then it's upto Mihnea

Now that is one helluva clean and shiny engine

(Now that kinda comment can only come from someone who has no knowledge what-so-ever about motor mechanics - or any other kinda mechanics for that matter!!! :wacked: )

S**t Doug, how long, and how much has it taken you to do all this???

I'm now off to buy an Idiots guide to motor mechanics - this time next year I too will have a motor to the standards of Doug and Mark H....

The picture is very flattering - it is not that shiny - It is probably just the painted metal pipe, wastgate cap and braided hoses that make it look good.

If I had all the bits before I started this it would probably have taken me 4 days of hard graft to do it. There has been loads of stuff delayed and bits I decided to different along the way.

Cost is cheap when you consider how much some of the audi specialists would probably charge.

I've probably chucked close to £1800 in the last few weeks to get it upto to this.

Marks car is what I strive for - tha is awesome.
