Gearbox spacer is removed then yes, custom billet flywheel. Engine is then forced back as far back as it will go on the mounts. Just had William re-explain it to me, I'm no mechanic either!RS2 - Project Mental Wheels

Standard mounts have ~15mm of adjustment - just push the engine & box back as far as it will go. Removing the /DM flywheel gearbox spacer gives you more room to move. Custom flywheel is not necessary - 7A or 3B SM units are easy to get hold and cheap.
FWIW you could go back another ~20mm with custom / modified engine and gearbox mounts before you run into major clearance issues.Panthero Coupé quattro 20vt

Yes I didn't mean to imply custom flywheel was necessary just what was installed on my car. As for modifying the mounts it's an unnecessary expense. You'd think with the money I've spent so far, what's the difference but you've got to draw the line somewhere. If I chased every little extra detail I'd end up spending over £100k Half an inch is cool with me.RS2 - Project Mental Wheels
