What've you done to your RS2 to get 580bhp out of it?

Block painted and set to be reassembled next week and if all goes to plan will be back in the car with the gearbox by the end of the week:


The head and inlet manifold here aren't mine:



Sub frame, wishbones, anti-roll bar and engine & gearbox mounts have all come back from being painted, mounts have lacquer too:






Calipers painted next week, head and cams come in week after next and I'll take my boot spoiler up whenever I get it.

Slowly all coming together, things stepping up a gear after next week, though unfortunately the dyno room won't be ready until mid September thanks to the dyno suppliers ballsing up the air flow specs. Still, some progress is being made:

That's some nice fabrication work, not a mod I've seen before but I do recall you mentioning something about it. As tidy as it is I take the welding won't be visible once it's finished?

Just discussed with Will, gonna leave the welds there; a) saves costs b) is a nice little feature showing a tidy modification.

Just curious, why did you choose to modify the RS2 manifold rather than fit a Wagner intake manifold?

No real reason aside from aesthetics. I mean it was a case of spend the money and time modding and changing everything to fit the reverse IM or just chop the OEM one open. Everyone else seems to go for the reverse manifold, I like the idea of keeping the Porsche embossed standard IM. Performance wise there's little in it.

I really like that exhaust manifold - pure porn. Who makes that?
