The switch is from the same model, the folding mirrors were an option for the A6/S6 C4.

Yes, that is true it is from C4 model(not sure if it is used on any other ones too or not). But it is a pretty rare switch I had to order as new since very little cars were ordered with memory mirrors and electric folding.

I didn't found the face plate which would fit.
The normal electric mirrors have 3 holes in the plate.

As for the dimming mirror glass, they are rarer than rocking-horse poo and ludicrously expensive! I managed to get a pair for my S8 one at a time over several years, having lived happily with standard curved/tinted ones! The drivers side (UK car) I got eventually from the USA, where it is of course the passenger side and has a silly inscription about vehicles being closer than they appear. But it works fine.
Remember the control for them is in the interior mirror, so you need the whole system for them to work.

4A1863324F is the part number for this switch cover.
I swapped recently my worn one with a one that is a little less worn. But it is not perfect. If anyone has a perfect one I am up for it.

filedata/fetch?id=2025809&d=1525347862&type=thumb HPsauce one day I might go for the auto dimming central rear view mirror if I get it cheap and a decent one. It just has not been something I really wanted to add. If I get bored I might do it.
At the moment I have some other projects going on like my rear axle rebuild including refurbed fuel tank, corrosion prevention, spare wheel well change for better access of cleaning dirt and rust that might live there. Also the well is damaged so I will swap that out also when I get there.
Another thing that I am working on is swaping my full leather interior around to alcantara interior which is not electric and not heated yet, so some work needed with those. I like alcantara better because of the looks and it "breathes" better. You do not have permission to view this gallery.

I upgraded my front grille just for the winter to keep the engine more warm and it seemed like a fun thing to do. It seems like a OEM addition to the grille and it looks good and keeps more salt and bad stuff away from the engine bay.
Then I tried to replicate the cupholders which are ultra rare. Came out pretty good and fit with the interior nicely.
I replaced my plastic handbrake lever with a leather one from D2 A8 which was a direct fit and nice leather finish to the interior.
About a year ago I bought a car from Germany and together with that managed to buy an interior that I have always liked most in C4-s - Black leather on black alcantara. Unfortunately the interior was not electrically movable nor heated but it was in great condition so I decided to bring it home with me. Now I have started working on it to put in my car. I have replaced the cushions inside the seats with cushions that have heating elements and I have finished all of the rear seat parts and it came out perfect. Next up is to do the front seats and make them electrically movable with memory.
I have been using standard C4 wipers and arms for a quite long time but recently got tired of my wiper frames freezing up all the times and not doing their work so I decided to start my project of C4 Aero wipers and I bought a pair of C5 FL wiper arms and started modifying them to fit my car as I would like. By far it is a straight fit and I ended up cutting and welding both of the arms but it ended up okay. Still not sure if I am gonna go back to OEM after winter or not.
C5 FL passenger's wiper arm before any modifications - really poor fitting and very annoyingly big arm visible from the driver's seat.
So for the passenger side I paired together C4 original arm fitting with the springs and welded the aero part to it just to make the angle better and make it as less noticeable from the driver's seat as possible.
With driver's side I just modified the angle of the wiper and welded it back together.
At the moment the final product looked like this:
