So in summary:
Bomb from Paul - £100?
Clean cap - free#
OR
Replace cap - £15
Fit other PAS pump - £50 (from Forum member).
New fluid - £7 from GSF IIRC (sitting on a shelf in the garage anyway!).
That should sort it for less than £200 if I'm lucky!

As promised Paul has been in touch and he now has S2 accumulators in stock. He has quoted me 149euros delivered to the UK, at todays exchange rate thats £99. I've just ordered mine.
Only problem is, he does not take Paypal any more due to problems with customer service and disputes, also does not take credit cards. I had to sign up to www.moneybookers.com which he is now using.
I've just had an e-mail back off him saying it will be posted tomorrow. I'll report back when I receive it. Shouldn't be any problems though, I spoke to him on the phone the other day and he seems like an genuine bloke, a poper Audi nut too.

My bomb arrived this morning, it's brand new in a sealed Febi Bilstein box. You'll need to supply your chassis number as there are different ones according to the year of the car, mine is an early one , part number 26537.

www.custom-auto-craft.com highly recommended.

While on the topic of brake bombs, my car has an issue, too. Occasionally, especially when its cold, when I press the brakes in coming to a stop, the brakes sort of fight me over it. Its like I'm getting only about 60% of my normal braking power. Lately it hasn't done it at all, when its been warm outside. I also just recently refilled my power steering resevoir; don't know if that has anything to do with it.
So I did a few of the checks to see if the bomb was bad, (the ones listed on 20v.org) and it passed some of them. Like the Engine Off-press brakes 15-20 times, if brake light comes on = bad bomb. Light didn't come on. Then I tried the one suggested on here, and it seemed like it got stiff after a few presses.
I don't want to replace it if it isn't bad, (of course), but I will if it is, for everyone elses sake. Oh and for awhile, my brake light just stayed on. It finally went off after a long time; maybe thats the ABS sensor.
Thanks,

1fastben as a fellow owner in the States....
here is what I have found is mostly the problem with the "Bomb" fittied for our cars in this country.
The hose clamps SUCK AND LEAK like a sieve. Are you seeing PS fluid covering certain places on the system?
Take a look at the hoses going into the PS reservoir and other connections. The hose clamps are not holding the pressure correctly. Alot of guys in the States have replaced these POS with FI clamps.
I haven't had a problem since.
