Fitted these yesterday. They still need a touch of fettling but are on and working. When I'm happy that they're working properly, I'll get the drawings up to date and it'll be batch time!

          Hey Rusty,

Please could I get a kit for 314mm discs. If possible could I add an urgency due to our relocation from UK in 2 weeks.
          Thanks mate.

Sorry, lead time will be about 8-10 weeks due to Christmas getting in the way. Where are you moving to? PM me...

So got these on now and testing away... i.e. finding a quiet road and stamping on the brakes

The rear is noticeably more stable and can be felt scrabbling for grip where it one was just a passenger. I decided to engage the difflock and see how the balance of the brakes was without ABS and sure enough, just before the fronts started to skid, the rears layed a big number 11, like I'd pulled the handbrake on! I'll need to get a bias valve in the rear circuit to improve things for track use without the ABS but I'm looking forward to getting that bit sorted.

Anyway, these look awesome behind the Avus 16s and there's plenty of clearance, while filling up the holes in the wheel. I think they're rather

So based on that Andy would the slightly smaller disc diameter negate the need for biasing

Not really but some road pads might.

Right, next step with this setup is to get it fitted on to a B4 chassis. Thanks to Julian_Iversen for some pictures of the S2 avant rear hubs.

Looking at the hub design, I expect that the brackets will need to be adjusted a little to clear the rear track control arm. From the picture, I don't think that this would need to be by very much.

Thanks to Julian Iversen and bambridge, I should have the Avant design sorted by the new year

Testing on track at ADI indicated that the 314mm rear is a little much in the wet but just right in the dry, when combined with 314mm 996s up front. An early brake pressure reg would sort this, as would an adjustable one with bigger fronts, it wouldn't be an issue.

                            Rusty,

I have the 996 caliper and the 323 discs on the front and your kit on the back.
Before fitting rear upgrade it was all front but I think the balance is just right with the new rears.
Combined with the KW suspension its feels really balanced.
                            Better handbrake is a bonus
Going to get DS2500 all round next.

Got the prototype Avant bracket through today and will be winging its way to Denmark for test fitting by a very patient member! Once confirmed, I'll get a batch on the go.
