I use the Apec brake catalogue to get a general overview, as it enable searching with a tolerance, and then I use the Brembo brake catalogue to get the technical drawing of the disc that I've identified. HTH

Right, I've decided on the type of disc. There are 2 sizes available - 280 & 302. Is there any interest in the 280 over the 302? Good news is that Brembo discs are sub £50 in either size for a pair, so the same as OE.Cheers'en, AndyC

Andy, Ive got 314's up front, would you think the 302 or the 280 would balance best?
I'd be interested, but it does depend on final cost.

Having looked in to it, the 280 version of the disc doesn't work well for the bracket design. The 278mm disc I tried had too high a hat height but would have worked without the dust shields or with a small spacer between disc and hub - it was close. If someone wants to try this then I'm more than happy to draw it all up.
The 302 option is looking best. Don't forget that this still uses the small OE S2 rear caliper, so isn't going to set the world on fire, more it will offer a simple and effective method of improving looks and performance by offering greater leverage.
The 314mm rear option uses the same bracket design, just enlarged for the bigger disc but rarity of models it's fitted to make me a little concerned... That said, I'm sorely tempted to give it a go as a testbed, as well as some 16" friendly fronts.Cheers'en, AndyC
