hi!
i have just send mine ecu to paul for some upgrade
have some questation: i have rs2 chamshafts and rs2 intercooler at home. will be there any positiv affect if i upgrade mine s2 with those parts and home fries? or is it better to have only stock car and home fries?

RS2 intercooler will definitely give some gains earned from lower air temp.

By all means try the RS2 camshafts if you like, but I have not a had a chance to run those on this software. Suspect you might lose some mid range and gain something at the top end.

I'm pretty confident you will be happy with the difference provided by the ECU software without playing around with camshafts ! However, it would be an interesting test if you have some objective way to capture data - like a g-meter or similar.

As paul says, you won't be disapointed turnaround is usually pretty quick too Only trouble now is once you get that extra go it doesn't take long before you need more:mischeif:

I usually turn them round on the day they arrive as long as I have notice. Did one last night like that and I see there's a few more candidates lined up for the treatment !

just a quick question, found some chips in germany that says gains of, plus 81hp and plus 141Nm is this possible for the s2 3b???

No thats crazy... A generic upgrade on 3B or ABY is in 270-280bhp and 410-430Nm territory. Thats a useful gain of 50bhp and 50Nm for the ABY along with improved spool time etc etc.

The upgrade on 3B 'feels' better compared to stock chips as they have a very relaxed 309Nm of torque in factory trim so you are looking at potential gains of 120Nm for a 3B with GOOD chips... But there is just no way the stock turbo can flow the kind of air volume required for 230+81bhp.

PLEASE please please don't buy S2/RS2 chips on eBay unless you are absolutely certain that you know what you are buying. There are some god-awful ones out there.

Sure, at £250 a generic upgrade from me is a lot more than schlonky chips on eBay, but I have in excess of 50 happy customers out there... And 100 angry ones - no I'm kidding

You need to contact MRC about their generic 3B chip. There are no homefries available anymore for the 3B as they were withdrawn from sale.

You'll also need a MAP sensor upgrade in the ECU.
