I connected the white/blue wire from the radio to the new pin on the ECU connector. Pin 50 from memory. How can I check VSS is working? Take a drive with Vag Com connected and check the group which displays vehicle speed?

one thing seems to be clear and is that using the (?¿ white/blue) wire from the speedo does not work...or at least that´s what happened to me and Dmitri in my friend´s car...

next try must be radio or climate control device...

Shouldn't those all technically be the 'same' signal though...also the one that goes to the diff lock controller? IE...conditioned VSS from the cluster, not the actual raw sensor output, which supposedly will not work with the ECU?

it also would nice if the ECU mapping developer could build a LC feature understanding what happens with 3B cars VSS....in the case that any try works as VSS

I think the cluster's output is bad in that car, nothing more nothing less.
Plenty of 3B's running with VSS.

Just tested my motor with Vag Com and can confirm I have VSS from the white/blue wire from the radio.

Just like on the other cars that I've seen, except that isolated incident.
And in that isolated incident I did not connect it myself, I was just told that "everything has been done right". If it was, the speedo is defective, if not, it was just not done quite right.

That's all I can say.

You take the signal behind the instrument cluster. I have never come a cross a 3B that does not have VSS. THe signal is also used for cruise control and I have installed quite a few and always used the white/blue wire behind the instrument cluster.

So is possible to take VSS from many places I see....
I personally never tried to do in my car,I only saw the try who did Dmitri in my friend's car and we don't know why it didn't work for some reason.
And his car has the Speedo correctly so maybe the problem came because a bad wire or connection...

I hope to do this last conversion in my own car then

AFAIK the compressor should disengage on WOT, as you know the ABY ECU has an output for this.
Unlike the 3B where you sometimes have to switch the AC off mid overtake for an extra spurt of power.

I am not sure how easy it is to check that this function works.

do you mean with AC te simple system? or the auto climate with may buttons?

i dont know what i did,i just followed Paul Nugent´s instructions..and everything is working except VSS because i have not wired it yet

WRT to the ECU I am guessing it doesn't matter. But obviously my car is RHD, so I only get knobs, not buttons.
