This means they are unable to set it up so that it runs the correct AFR.
On a turbo engine especially this can be disastrous.
Bet he doesn't know what a wideband is either.

It is fully possible to make these run without any check engine lights or any other issues.
I agree. I ran Motronic and gas for years with no issues. Just needs tuned in better.

I have mine on 20 at the moment and seems fine, might increase to 25, and then when it gets colder, increase it further.

Meant to ask, what reducer temperature should I set for switch-over? And I assume I need some fuel in the tank at all times as fuel pump is working constantly?

Feels very good. Boosts just fine, idle is pretty good, feels better than petrol if I'm honest. Still need to get petrol ms to stay the same when switching over, currently when running on petrol it's 3.1 and when on gas it's 2.1, so it shakes when switching back to petrol.

If I leave it as it is now, can it do any damage? I have exams coming up and final project to finish and don't have loads of time on my hands

At least the car is driving ok for you on gas now and just needs fine tuning.

After making adjustments to the modeling you should really clear the points it has gathered and reset the petrol ecu so it can learn new points with no adaption.

Sorry meant to say on gas petrol ms is 2.5 and when I switch to petrol it jumps to 3.2.

Clear the map points? I think it asks to clear both gas/petrol map after changes are made. So when I'm done with modeling part I just reset petrol ECU so it can learn it all again?

At light loads your Motronic runs closed loop so small changes of the gas map will not appear to do anything. But the goal is to try and get Motronic adaption to zero with no adaption limit errors.

I'll call some places near me on Monday than and see who could get her tested

On gas petrol injector ms is 2.5ish and when I switch to gas it jumps to 3.2, so I just need to get them both matched and that should take care of that. I've connected lambda, but honestly that thing is all over the place on idle, can't really tell much.
