Update
After getting a good spark I found that I had fuel pouring out of the metering head. I have sent the metering head/fuel distributor and warm up reg away for professional repair. The theory being if I have good fuel spark and compression I should eventually have a starter/runner.. I sent them away mid December but still have a 4 week wait. In the meantime I have a photo of her.Attached FilesComment

UR Quattro Set Up?
Good move on getting the metering head set up, it will make all the difference. Replace all the small bore vac pipes with new and check operation of the idle switch and full throttle switch on the throttle body and the full throttle enrichment valve on the bulkhead.
Car looks nice!Comment

I have done all the vac lines with black silicone pipe. I used Phil paynes guide and worked through every switch and sensor to check they were working and everything was good. I'm hopeful that once the fuelling in sorted I will be making huge advances..Comment

Could anyone tell me which of the two larger fuel lines is the feed and which is the return please?
If you look at the picture of the metering head on this vehicle compared to the few I can find on the internet it looks like the lines are the wrong way round. That said someone has replaced the hard lines from the fuel pump previously.Comment

I can see that there is a small arrow pointing in, I assume this will be the feed. I will obviously check when Im next with the car. I guess I'm just thinking out loud while sat at work on night shifts.Comment

Guys is there anyone in the Worcestershire area who would be prepared to cast a fresh pair of eyes over this car?
The WUR and metering head were re-fitted today. Still she won't fire.
1) I have a good fat spark on all 5 now...
2) I have a great flow of fuel approx 2 litre per minute when bridging fuel pump relay.
3) good compression 110 psi across all 5.
4) if I left the metering head flap with relay bridged I get a really healthy spray of fuel from all injectors.
5) I have addressed all intake leaks and replaced the pipes with silicone.
She does try to fire on occasion and pops and and bangs in the inlet manifold. I
Suspect this is the 6th injector atomising on cranking. If I unplug it she just cranks over.
I'm coming to the conclusion that ypthe metering head flap is not lifting off its seat on cranking; presumably due to lack of inlet vacuum.
I was considering pressure testing the TIP ? Or potentially removing inlet manifold and checking checking and re-checking.
Every time I get one fault sorted this thing kicks me in the tatters by refusing to go...
I'm not prepared to give it but getting a tad baffled.
Anyone???Comment
