Yeah VAG parts do them, also any Bosch agent/supplier should be able to supply.

My suggestion Dan, If you are wanting to remove the dizzy (which you might have to do to change rotor arm for instance) it makes it very easy to get at and you will keep the skin on the back of your hands.
You will probably need a new manifold gasket though. I changed mine not so long ago so is still ok to use.
This is how mine looks at the moment

Not quite lol, i've had to do it a few times for test fitment of the AAN manifold, could almost do it blindfolded.
Remove all M8 manifold bolts, 2x manifold earth connections, unplug throttle position multiplug, undo short boost pipe at the front and disconnect vacum hose off DV. Then hoist it up and tie it to bonnet lever
I had two water manifold bolts shear off during removal. Tried welding a nut on but was not strong enough, so had to drill them out...PITA. Sorted now though, modded water manifold now on the car.Attached FilesComment

Bin that large plastic shield thing which goes from the rad to the front of the car (the water pipe from the stat goes through it)
Use the special tool to get to all the bolts, a long 6mm hex bar with 1/2 drive socket on the end, was about 6 quid from the stealersComment

The worst thing about the AAN inlet manifold is that i got rid of the runners - it is such a pita to get the bolts on and tight - or even off. the radiator has to come out - and I have the oil cooler in front of that - so that comes out and and and!!S2,RS2,S4 WB,RS4,S4 B8,RS6 C5,RS6 C6,R8Comment

Dan, get the 7A leads , they just fit under the cover and they're about 1/2 the priceOriginally posted by dan_b£130 + VAT?! Yikes a Lordy. How much for the Disti and rotor?
Is there any way that the disti can be replaced without removing the engine, I don't fancy the look of all that?!
You can get the dist cover off without taking the manifold off, its a struggle but not too bad. I think I removed the ISV. and some pipes, did it at Gregs when I needed to adjust the timing. It would be worth checking your static timing whilst the cover is off, to adjust it you will need a really short ring spanner.. Have you deff got a metal gear on the dizzy?Comment

7a leads are cheaper, something like £80+VAT, but they are a tad longer so the spark plug cover doesn't sit down fully. They work ok though, newsh has them i think.
Rotor arms are a few quid, If your still on your original then you will probably have to remove the dizzy to get it off because they are bonded on and need cutting off. If the dizzy has not been removed before then the anti tamper plate will still be there sitting over the clamp nut, dunno an easy way of getting that off without a bit of drastic action as in pic above. Also if you still have the plastic gear on the dizzy, i would change that too. Not sure of the price of the whole unit from audi, they might do an exchange service, the units they supply all have the metal gears on now.
Maybe if you take off all the leads and the throttle body you might have a bit more access from the back.
