Just got to wait for the RS2 Front which I thought would be here first!!!! Strange how things worked out. Jamo. I think they are still coming from Aussiland as they said they were expecting a container of stuff in the nextweek and that a number of these bars will be in that container!!!!Dark Grey Avant

I'm happy you've got them, just last year i we had a hell of time getting hold of the RS2 FARB and Whiteline rear.
But it was worth the wait

A result!
Hey,
well with a crinked neck and a sore back I gave up... so took a trip to a garage. An hour and a half later, with one front drop link thread heated and cut, and various other battles with removing 15-yr old suspension parts, requiring a blowtorch and airgun, I had new droplinks all-round with an RS2 FARB and whiteline RARB on the stiffest setting. The guy in the garage even dipped into his supply of nuts 'n' bolts to replace those destroyed in the process.
Taking it all off is SO much easier with the wheels off, and then once replacement droplinks are on, put on a ramp for easy underside access (with weight on the wheels). I did pretty well too; £30 in the mechanics hand outta the eyes of the boss and we were straight
And now to the verdict.... WOW what a difference! I was sceptical as to how much difference ARBs could make, but if you're thinking about it all I can say is GET 'ER DONE. The car is more stable over rough road (steering wheel doesn't have a mind of its own any more), holds steadier under hard braking, attacks roundabouts and then spits them out in little bubbles, and I don't know what roll is any more. She'll hit a nice, neutral slide when you put it into a corner on a ragged edge. It really feels much tighter, like a new car. Seriously I drove into work today with a big grin on my face, kinda like it did the first day I had it... I'm left wondering if I even need to do springs + shocks any more?! (Of course I will tho
)
So, a happy ending on this one
Cheers

For now, yes. I tell you what, the car feels like it has a really nice balance now. If it didn't pitch 'n' dive so much, I'd be tempted to keep the stock suspension. I caned it out of a really uneven roundabout earlier; had great traction with the softer set-up but had great responsiveness and zero-roll with the new ARBs. In fact, there was even a tiny hind of over-steer on the exit
plan is to go with H&R/Bilstein B8/6 combo.AUDI - saving Dad's from minivans since 1994

I have got a slightly bent front damper (how I don't know) so I need to replace it. Just can't afford the Bilsteins at the mo with everything else I have just spent. So I am going to have to stick to stock. Anyone know how much a normal coupe can be lowered to get it the same height as the S2 on the Bilstein setup. I believe the S2 was lower to begin with wasn't it?Dark Grey Avant

Yeah, suspension is stock other than the ARBs. Feels alot stiffer though; jumping across mini painted roundabouts isn't a good idea anymore (not that it was in the first place?) Ideally I'll go with the bilstein/HR setup. Have the rear shocks - it's a start...Originally posted by AzmanRoss - You still on standard suspension?
Give it a go with the ARBs + standard shocks - you'll be amazed at the transformation! Just don't expect the suspension to be quite so, uh, 'independent' over harsh bumps!AUDI - saving Dad's from minivans since 1994

Well guys the RS2 fARB arrived this morning so now all is here and awaiting fitment.
Just a quickie though, the bar being so chunky, will it fit in the original mounting brackets?????
I have not been under to have a look yet as the under tray is on at the moment(will be losing it shortly), also the bushes look a bit thin and nasty!!!!!
Cheers
