Excuse me, too much work an too low energy
On May 1 I mount mine.
Not plugand play at all.
I pass much time adjusting the OEM gear block system but the worst was when I been putted the OEM spring and the space to the mechanism was low not, missed.
Why that I been cutted the plastic piece and now the gear knob can goes down to gear reversephotobucket SUCKS

Tom,
Slice a little bit of the black plastic at the end that is nearest to you so that the alloy fits into the hole ....it needs a bit of fiddling around to get it flat but it will go in, I managed it even after a night of being totally drunk ! ....the washers were too small for the studs on mine too, but you don't need 4, just get 2 slightly bigger ones....sorry I forgot to take pictures of my fit ....good luck tovarich,

I don;t think you really need the 2 alloy plates, just one would do, its only to give a firm base for the balljoint piece , I put both on only because it would make it a stiffer base....and yes, just a craft knife to carve a little bit off the plastic surround so as to drop the alloy plates into the hole...it will covered up by the gearstick gaiter anyhow, so will not be visible...its a bit hard to explain, but its just a case of jiggling it all about until it is firmly sited, then bolt it up with a couple of washers that ere bigger diameter centre than the ones supplied ( only a little ) bit bigger
