On the subject of removing underseal, I saw this the other day after I had spent a messy afternoon removing the rubbery sealant from the wife's rather rotten toyota rear wheel arches. Used twist knot wire brush in angle grinder which does work very well but boy do I wish I had this kit in my shed! it's a German video so not sure what the text says but I think it is using dry ice to remove the sealant. Impressive stuff.

Nice bit of kit. I don't know if it would work as well on the Audi rubbery stuff which was very thick in places. I used the twisted wire wheel, effective but slow. I did see that Rustbusters do a special tool that looks very good, but it's expensive.

That day has finally arrived! I’ve actually started putting bits back on the car.
I was worried but it looks like the home made fuel lines fit.
Very tight around the pro con 10!
Just need to work my way through the spaghetti
Underside looking good

Slowly coming together
Has anyone got a spare set of bolts for the steering ram? N0402404 x2 and N0100213 x1
They are missing from my box of tricks.
Also, the seal between the brake fluid reservoir and master cylinder?
And, lastly an ABS pump mount (rubber and bell housing)?
Thanks
Dave

If anyone spots anything out of place, please feel free to jump in and let me know. I wont be offended. I haven't got much to go on to get it back together and I didn't take it apart!
My next job will be making up the brake lines in and around the engine bay. Not looking forward to thatNothelle S2 Avant

Brake lines are not bad if you have the old ones to copy, and start with a straight line
I made a diy straightener that made it easier
