I think it might be my de cat pipes.
Anyway, I happen to come by a good set of RS2 cats (as you do)..

That’ll still work, the tapered ends of the pipes will push the two halves together

Bit of high temp silicone or exhaust assembly paste and go again

I've been for a little drive and it's much better. Still throaty and quite loud but less drone and quite nice
