Coupe is not at all 'B4 esque' - jees talking about muddying the waters...

Coupe is 100% B3 in all its guises - never a dual wishbone in sight (sadly) - don't be fooled by the B4 stylee bonnet though

Yes Carlos - a 7A engined B4 quattro saloon would have been mighty - on its own or as donor for S2 replicant

9020v would be by far the easiest conversion, plug and play all the way. Personally i would go with a B4 age 80Q, worth the extra effort for the later rear suspension and body IMO.

S2 Avant and S2 Sedan are same B4 platform - the B4 sedan absolutely does not use Coupe suspension (but a B3 Sedan does).

Its a 'simple' task of removing S2 Avant running gear and transplanting into B4 quattro saloon shell. Different spring & damper rates I suspect but thats all. Brakes, driveshafts, diff etc all the same.
As said above. The best way.

It is good to note also the additional good things, that the B4 S2 Sedan AND B4 16V Competition have the rare rear suspension that is also in S2 Avant and RS2 Avant. It was so special that in the early 90ś Audi was very successful in the STW (like DTM race series) with that rear suspension with free aspirating () saloon Racer. The reason why it was available in street sedans was the STW homologation rules that certain amount of those STW parts need to be available in production cars also.

The cornering capabilities with that multilink rear suspension are very good. Also when you slightly lift dynamically the rear it allways comes back to earth in such a position that the wheels are in straight position. It was actually so good in race that it was taken to the production A4 model and later to RS4 also... Therefore some of the nice RS4 rear goodies can also be used in those B4 sedan/avant bodies, that have the "STW race rear". I think that the best S2 sedan conversion body is the B4 competition body or buy the real one from mobile.de.

B4 sedan rear leather seats are quite rare... The S2/RS2 avant to sedan rear seat installation solution can be investigated in ETKA :-) Read that and as a hint is to investigate AUDI > Audi 80/90/Avant quattro > 1994 rear seat special molded aluminium parts for rear seat bottom attachment. Then you know how the tilting rear seat is attached to (normal) avant body (like B4 sedan !) that is not rs2 avant or s2 avant ! It is a factory special adaptation part. It is available in junk yards... Easier is to have the leather man to do the work to old non leather seats, but this is the hobby to check how well the Aud R&D interchangeability engineer did the work.

The avant factory made adapter has factory made attachment points in b4 sedan (pic below when fitted).

                      ... getting closer

See more in the the complete Rs2 sedan conversion story:

Though the STW free aspirating 80er was fast, I like more the #4 in this quite new video:

I tried to find 80er stw videos but no luck.

Is it low or drivers so high ?

if im lucky enough i may get a competition in a few years from Germany, import it to the UK,(LHD) and then take it home to Greece for an RS2 sedan.

Then the current avant i have will become the only competition avant!! (hope the wife agrees to use that as a family car though!!)

why wait and why from Germany? Competitions can be bought here very often for prices in the €2000,- range.
