This realistically priced, the lastquote for the same job was considerably more.
What will they be made out of?
Will have to see how many people are interested still,as for an original bumper mmm could add £50 each to the price assuming 10 buyers.
But i have an idea on that side.
Thanks Dave

but if thats the case then they will be about £150 each and made from a genuine bumper, however they can be copied from a copy but thats were the crap quility starts!!
any good?
let me know
cheers dave
I'd be up for one - bog standard RS2 is all I would need. Would we still need to get the grills and brackets etc?
Rob, I have access to a mould that's been taken directly off a RS2 bumper. It looks like a fine copy and should be ready to go soon. I'm hoping to have a test unit made out of glass/carbon on my car soon. I'll let you know how I get on with it.
they will be made out of fibre glass and to be honest the quility will be second to none BUT ONLY IF MARK GETS AN ORIGANAL RS2 BUMPER as if its not then who knows whats going to come out?
if he makes the mould then hes to blame if all goes wrong.
if he dont then WHO IS?????????
you would still need to get the grills etc yes but you might be able to use the bumper mounts from the s2 or any audi 80 bumper?????
who knows, will have to get a real rs2 bumper and see what does and dosnt line up.
let me know if anybody want's to go forward with it and well go from there.

If one of the avenues that are being, investigated, bears fruit i.e. reasonably priced!!! A group buy will take place as there are still a lot of takers. Many sources are available at varying prices, but either the feedback on quality is poor, shipping is extortionate, too dang pricey.
Here a few of the companies that have been approached.
£296 all in for an order of 10,quality was thought to be poor by people who had seen it,or this might have been the one that was meant to fit over the original bumper after it was butchered!!
I at one stage found a place that would make them for us,if we provided an example for the mould £500/or a willing donor. then about £450 a pop if memory serves(no mesh, lights,or fitments, this idea/company is still being followed up by another member.
Anyhow to sum up,they still need spraying, lights, delivery,in some cases, mesh grill and fitments,so its been hard to get this all running.
I suggest all who are interested keep pursuing various salvage yards as they do pop up,although rarely.

I take it these just come as a shell. When i replaced the S2 bumper on my coupe it was some amount of work. I toatlly destroyed my S2 bumper so i could use the cross bar and mounting part of the bumper, then bonded and screwed it onto the fibre glass shell. Trying to cut the cross member out was no 2 minute job. When it was on and painted it looked really smart.
I have no pics of the front of it but have seen the car running round Aberdeen if i do come accross it I will take pics.
I think I may well cut my S2 bumper to aid flow over the intercooler then just mesh up the hole. If it does look sad I can always get a fibre 1 and modify it properly
Ok, I can't read German, but this place (on ebay) seemingly sells RS2 spoilers. I was going to go ahead and order one anyway, but my last ebay transaction with a german ended up with using free translation programs that commented about 'the size of your mothers purple socks' and 'I like to hear the mountain goats yodel' - not quite 'How much is the postage for that thing for the car you are selling, mate?'
Any comments on this one? Looks too good to be true at that price. I'll ask em again for the postage cost (god knows what the translator program will say this time...) and if it's not too bad, order one (though I expect a pile of mashed plastic to come through the door knowing the delivery muppets in this country. Anyone any good with jigsaws?)
