On a serious note though, sometimes you just have to try these things. If you didn't do it you'd always wonder what it would sound like?
Good on ya for giving it a go.
Hear, hear
Alternatively, you could go the whole hog and get a sound system like The General Lee!
My Ur had the same - middle box removed.
As you said Mike; sounds fab when giving it some.... but when on the motorway, it just drones (and constant moaning from anyone sat in the back)
Any soundtrack from when the middle box was removed, Mike??

Really wasn't enjoying driving the car at all with all the booming at low revs. At least i'm sure i have the perfect balance now
I don't have any fly-bys or anything that exciting, but i do have a quick clip...want to hear?
Cheers bud, she's some machine
That Scania is my dads. Exhaust has a diverter valve with switch on the dash, so you have the choice of straight pipe or silencer. My clip doesn't do the v8 sound justice
This Italian gives you a better idea of the sound... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVHNIbUq0hk
So are those clips with the centre box back in Mike? Sounds great
No that's with the middle box removed. Agree Alex it does sound great but unfortunately inside is a different story. No use as a daily driver putting up with that drone at low revs. Will try and get a similar vid now so you can hear the difference with the middle box back in. Probably not a huge amount of difference in sound form the outside, but no drone inside.
I'll be needing to do the same at some point as well Mike.
I'm right in saying they're not that expensive??
Surprisingly reasonable i'd say John, for audi anyway. List price £97.33+VAT each.
I got 20% off as one wing had a scratch on it. Looks to be just the black coating not actually the metal that's damaged. Slightly irritating, but i've waited 2 weeks for them to arrive so i just took it rather than wait again.
You'll notice there is no hole for the side repeater but the paint man can cut them easy enough.
