Me neither, cannot wait to turn the key again and here it burst into song

If I make good progress, hopefully it will have time to go into Longlife for the exhaust to be reworked taking out the Y and cats inplace of a single cat & pipe. If it's going back to the motherland on the 5th Oct, it should at least be sounding its best

Hmm, didn't even know there was a seal kit for these. As far as I know my new rack is one from an ABY, i wanted the replacement to be a non servotronic one.

Stu...can you post up a pic of the steering damper and the bracket as i think I read on here (Dan?) about changing this and the bracket too.

            Cheers

              Here's the steering arm bracket.

The damper attaches to the part in the top left of the picture.

              Here is the steering damper.

And this is the bracket on the inner wing under the battery tray, which the base of the damper bolts to (the right end in the picture above).

              Is that any good?

Fatastic! For some reason thought there was a bracket under the battery tray rather than a mount point so thats cleared that up, cheers.

to this.... No great drama, most things came apart ok except for the radiator bracket which i snapped a bolt on sure it will drill out.

tried to keep stuff as modular a possible and have bagged all the stuff as advised in other threads. Getting that bloody 3b airbox out has confirmed i need to do something to replace it with either the ABY one or maybe spend some time doing a decent job with a cone again. Seeing Darren's (aka Djones) box and GeorgeS2 suggests there are ways to keep them cool...we'll see

definately need to chuck this, picture really doesnt show the extent of the corrosion....does the pulley come as separate parts or a complete unit as it's all in need of a change

here's the reeeeeeeeally cr*p snub holder on the 3b, literally does nothing to contain movement, hopefully the SQ one will do the trick...

So are you at present taking your engine out or putting it back in?

See your point about the snub mount holder, will be getting a Sq one for mine asap.

do you think you will have it out and in before the ring? (not being crude here obviously)

Need aronmatic2 over to give a hand, be done in no time.

yep....should be bar any unforeseen problems. there is a ton of other stuff to be done, check the first page of the thread for details...making steady progress now though and i am off all this week so should be ok.

ChrisM is coming down next weekend and is also a guru when it comes to getting these babies out
