Sir you are a gentleman, thanks for going out tonight to check.
Just done a little more digging and my copy of KATE shows that all the coupe quattro's had the same badge throughout the range and I think the part number is 441853742 180mmX58,5mm although measuring mine it looks more like 180x57.
If you look at normal early coupe's it shows part number 443853742 139,2mmX45mm which looks like it could be a winner so I'll ring TPS in the morning and find out the availability and price and get one ordered to see what its like.
I've had a few hours recently to work on the car, so I have fitted a few bits I have been collecting over the last 4 months.
As with many of the finer things in life, they are completely unnecessary
..........but you know how it is, sometimes you just have to have something.
So first up: can you tell what is is yet?
A lovely set of oem blue weave carbon
Next, we have an ultra rare set of genuine RS2 instruments (not that I need the 180mph speedo with my puny 7A engine )
They look very tasteful and light up far "redder" than S2 instruments - much more subtle than the plasmas they replace:
and finally, an exterior facelift - long overdue elipsoids.
The reflectors are virtually brand new and they have definitely modernised the front of the car by a few years
Despite the reports I have found the lighting to be far better than the old reflector units, but I did find they need to aligned really well. Very cool.
Some more unusual upgrades in the pipeline as well as the long overdue 20vt engine..... we are getting there now

It's looking great, Alex.
Actually, it's looking more like my car did. When are you getting the RS2 mirrors?
I found ellipsoids made a huge difference to night time visibility, then HIDs another huge difference on top. But there is a massive contrast between where the light where beam pattern is, and the darkness above it, which takes some getting used to. The old reflectors scatter light everywhere in comparison.
I fitted red LEDs to my dash lights. They really give a much more crisp and modern look to the interior when lit up, rather than the dated orange/red.
Car looks great. Can't beat fresh front lighting. Love the cloth Recaros, which are for life, my set have been in my last five cars - i.e. easily over ten years.
Don't change the mirrors, they match the S2 bumper.
Can you give some feedback on your KW V1s now that you driven it ?
I'm unsure about RS2 mirrors, I sometimes think they look great, sometimes not so much... on the maybe list for me!
David: KWs are just right for me and how much I use the car. They take a little while to warm up when it is cold, so are a bit crashy for the first few miles in this weather. They are a lot firmer than the H&Rs & Konis they replaced, but given that the spring rates are 75% stiffer but the ride quality is actually better I think, especially above 40mph. I couldn't have them on a daily driver. Handling wise they are not even comparable - so much better. The car is far more responsive and feels more direct. HTH
