I fitted the final part of my steering system upgrade, and this is the prettiest part - a freshly retrimmed Nardi sport wheel courtesy of alex (Dominator) on the forum - thanks mate

Well a few weeks ago i found what I had been looking for since I found out they even existed 4 years ago: anthrazit jacquard Recaros.

Words don't do it so I'll let the pictures do the talking













Should be collecting the final bits for my interior / options upgrades next week. Then I think I've done everything bar the engine......

Dominator must have quite some Audisport wheels, that's 3 people I know that got one of him, incl. me that is

The Nardi wheel is great to look at but was just too small for me to live with, that one has come up trumps with the refurb!

Those recaro's and that wheel look great! I still I prefer the cloth recaro's to the leather ones. How much smaller is that wheel compared to the normal 3 spoke?

Not massively smaller, I think its 10-15mm smaller diameter but its thicker and loads more comfortable to hold

I didn't forget to mention them, I've had them for a bit but not had a chance to fit them until yesterday

Thats a good pic of the steering wheels, it is smaller than I though actually! I think the Nardi wheel is 350mm diameter, looks like the stock 3 spoke is more like 370mm or thereabouts

actually, that is spot on! Just measured them to verify.

Still not taxed the car or driven it, meaning its been laid up since January. Been super busy with work and just bought a house so the greedy **** solicitor took all my money recently

But luckily I am a man of simple pleasures, so found some nearly free jobs to do on the car. Finally wired up my grab handle lights and upgraded the fronts to URs4 ones, which come on with the courtesy lights when you open the door



Think I will follow Jas11n's lead and install some front footwell lights next. I really like the cool red glow from the sunroof panel comfort lights in the S4, so think I will look into something like that too.


I also decided it was time to refresh my foglights which was showing their age with faded yellowing housings. Removed the lenses by heating them up in the oven and prying them off as suggested by some other guys on the forum. Few coats of paint later and they look good as new:
