I do like that front brace! Any plans for a rear to match?

I'll drop that ecu stuff off and a spare housing for it if you want to try some custom mapping yourself.yeah sweet thanks mate!
Got a V6 maf on the way, and hoping to get a copy of that chip James had so will see if the tweaked timing on that will have any more effect, it felt nice when I tried it but not as effective as these puppies
Obviously a custom map would get the most out of it but no way i can justify the cost, to be fair I'm only messing about to keep myself intersted in the car.
I'll pop up sometime and see what they are like on yours, I know the car they came out of strugged for traction badly as it was just too much torque.

get the welder out dude, you'll have your own in a few hours
Yeah been looking at the rear, and also something for the centre of the tunnel, both these areas are more tricky on space & clearancePanthero Coupé quattro 20vt

Nice work dude, I really enjoyed playing with the cams and inlet on my old 16v motor, was really satisfying. The turbo is almost boring as it takes all the ingenuity out and does all the hard work for you lol. A thought with the throttle body, if you have a spare one you could experiment with drilling a small hole in one of the butterfly's. You could start really small and check it and increase if necessary till you get it right. I may have a spare 16v TB you could have a butterfly out of, i'll have a look over xmas if you dont get something sorted.Comment

Good work as ever, Alex. I love the brace. I've measured up a few braces of my own to try to stiffen up the old bendy Coupé. The S3 has a lower brace as standard, so I got the idea from that. But I might just copy you now.
It's a strange one about the idle adjustment. I'm afraid a lot of my old 7A knowledge has been pushed aside into a corner somewhere. I'm having trouble finding it these days.

Cheers for the offer Jim, I have a couple spare 7A throttle bodies here
Drilling a hole in the throttle plate will do that same thing as adjusting the stop angle I guess, I might just do that it seemed to solve the problem, can't see what harm it will do
Stu you will definitely notice the improvement and its a nice easy one, you need to weld some mounting points onto the chassis rails, but these are hollow sections so you don't have to worry about removing the interior etc. I think all the B5 and later S-cars braced here, its an obvious weak point with such a wide tunnel and a subframe shaped like a horseshoe! Not sure about the S3, but the S4/RS4s also have two plates to lock the subframe to the chassis, that's why I added the two links to the subframe mountings
