Not a real update, purchased a 245/35 tyre to test fit... looks rather well even if I do say so myself
this is ET30 on an 8.5J rim

Upgrade time - bought an RS2 FARB and fitted that today - awesome

Here is is facing off with the now rather girly looking 26mm S2 bar


Has made a really big difference to the feel of the car - its a much better partner to my super stiff short armed 22mm rear bar.

The coupe never really felt that planted before becasue the rear was so stiff, so whilst it had tons of grip and actually was very neutral when it broke away, it made the steering a bit too sharp on the road and felt nervous.
Now with the RS2 front bar it feels much more balanced and more positive, even though I'm sure it will have introduced a tiny bit of understeer - nothing trail braking won't overcome though.... would recommend this ARB combo for anyone who wants an aggressive set-up and balanced car

Next stop, new top-mounts.... (again!)

A few bits to order now for the mechanicals, some clips, bolts and other assorted little widgets, need to make up some some brake and fuel line - then reassebly should start over the next few days - can't wait to roll it out of the garage and give it a good clean - not long now
