Turned out alright, less runs than the factory job had in it anyway
Won't ever be a professional job but looks fine to me and TBH just glad to see the engine bay black again - next up some laquer
Bolted a few bits back up to the engine, just waiting on some bits now before i can put the belts back on etc - looking a bit tidier than the old one
And the work of art that is the 7A tubular manifold
Over and out.

1/2 day to rub down and spray laquer
1/2 day to polish it up etc
1.5 days to put it all back together
1/2 day to sort out niggles etc + get alignment done

Nice work Alex. The old Coupé is looking fantastic.
That engine bay brings back some memories. I see you decided to bag the loom too, rather than pull it into the car.
I found it a shame to fill the engine bay back up with a load of clutter again. I rather liked it clean and empty with its new paint.
The new engine looks sweet. Is that cruise I spy?
BTW I wouldn't worry about a clutch alignment tool. Just do it by eye. I've done it loads of times with success.
