I then pulled the subframe and sent it to be seam welded.

Yes, very hard!! My S4 has kept me happy for 12 years now, but it is big/heavy and I have wanted the RS2 since it's 1993 debut.

                test fitting lower door trim

I affixed the lower door trim to ensure the fit before the paint comes. I don't want any paint booth surprises.

I still need both right side and the left rear "belt line" door trim. I have both fender and driver pieces already. If anyone has some they would like to sell please let me know. I would like to have them before she goes to paint.

Note: the trim holes will be welded shut on my new fenders. No RS2 fenders available here.

The front bumper I bought new in Germany last year. It cost around $2100 complete with lights, brackets, grills, and klein teile. That was when the exchange rate was not quite as bad as it is now. The rear bumper came from my buddy in Switzerland. That's been a few years ago now so I don't remember the cost. In fact I'm trying to forget the cost of all this stuff.

What are you doing for a VIN? I have been thinking about putting a Avant hatch and roof onto a Sedan.

Impressive collection of parts Tom... poor yet?

I like the fresh idea... good luck with it. I must add that not having the S2/RS2 imported to the US makes it that more exciting to build and collect parts for
