I wondered how you are going to handle the license plate with a European bumper (front and rear)? This looks odd

Easy one. Front plates are not required in my state. I've got an early style (pre-EU) plate for the front that reads "IN R-S2" a la the RS2 Frankfurt press kit photos.

The police in my state don't care what is on the front of my car. Photo of my S6 with German registration.....yeah I know my TUV has expired.

Besides mixing up the paint, these knuckleheads haven't even started on my car.

All this is acually sort of funny. I have discovered, and my wife has been trying to tell me, that I am addicted to this project. I'm sort of depressed because the car has been away for so long. I fell like they will find a cure for cancer before I get my RS2 back.

Look for another painter if they havent even started on your car yet. what utter pricks! Do they even know what sort of car they have been blessed to paint??

These are the best guys around they've just bitten off more than they can chew at the moment. They've got some antique pickup in the way. It was to be finished by the end of last week. We'll see.

I'm being told that some painting of some of the smaller trim parts, bumpers, etc. will be sprayed this week. We will see. I'm ready to get this moving again.

I did remind them of what they had in their shop and the owner said "oh yeah, I know it is special" I also reminded them about the NLA parts and to be careful with the headlight trims.

Tom - Rule #1 - NEVER rush a vehicle painter... Let him take the time to do a nice job - even if he is a month late - in the big scheme of your project an extra month is irrelevant !
