Managed to get the majority of the boot stuff mounted. I have now made a final list of parts I need to finish it off, so I will get them ordered up this coming week.

Then decided to jack it up to do some work on the underside. Managed a good dragster look!

One off pistons and conrods are now on order from the US. Hoping to start on the wiring soon!

much awesomeness! Love the drop tray for the fuel filler, nice touch!

Are you going to be using the Fuchs rims? I noticed new tyres on them, but surely too narrow for such a beast?!

Superb stuff. Just read through the whole thing, very impressed indeed.

I dont remember reading anything about the cooling setup, obviously you have the radiator in the back of the car. Will you be using just the standard in block pump and thermostat or do you have some kind of funky setup going on? Electric pump?

          Keep it up!

The wheels are just to get it rolling, I picked them up through a friend very cheap so couldn't turn them down. I will be looking for something a little wider when its ready to hit the road properly, something 9/10" wide.

As for the cooling system, I have a 115 litre per minute electric pump. Its hiding in the boot I forgot to take some pictures of it. I am going to remove the impellers from the engine water pump and also take the thermostat out. Then I will use the pump controller to regulate the flow which can go down as low as 20 litres per minute ideal for warming it up. It also means I can run the pump on after the engine is turned off which will help the turbo hopefully. Lastly running it this way means I can bleed the system without having the engine running.

Awesome, nothing like doing it properly. Will the pump be a manual control then? Or you gonna put together some sort of closed loop electronic thermostat? Would be pretty neat, and shouldn't be terribly difficult to do.

The fist of the engine parts have landed.

                    One off Je pistons.

                    Teflon top coating:

                    Gudgeon pins moved up 6mm:

The block is going to be machined with the pistons on friday so the rebuild shouldn't be too far away now! The one off Pauter conrods should also be here soon.

So what basic engine spec have you decided on?

                      Stroke, rods, deck height?

Standard crank/stroke, standard block/deck height. Gudgeon pins moved up 6mm, with 150mm rods.

                          .

                          Ahhhhh...get you now, sort of?

                          150 rods pour quoi?

                          4 rings in the piston?

Looks like you're going for quite a high CR from the v.shallow dish?

                          Sorry for all the q's...

150mm rods yes. That was about as much as the gudgeon pin could be moved without weaking the second ring land. Just the 3 rings, the one under the top ring is just a v groove. Compression is 8.5:1.
