Its the same or very close result I had calculated on the similar setup that Ross had and I did on the virtual duno.

I have said this before but to me this setup seems slightly cheaper than the 3071R option and a bit laggier. Torquewise its in the same territory.

Hope you make use of the power you have cause its quite a handful nonetheless

Great to hear it's all running good and nice dyno plot!
I really should get my car back on the dyno... Don't think it will better this tho!

If it was something choking the engine it would not go so rich, as the MAF reads the air.
        Something else is amiss here.

Do pressure test it, it was 11.7-11.8 AFR when I checked it over a few days ago.
With 10.4 you lose a ton of power.

This turbo is much stronger than a GT3071R it is like a GT3076R. The low power figure coupled with the 10.4 AFR indicates a hardware issue. Comparing that dyno with MRC's is utterly pointless as well, as that reads a lot higher.
The reason for the 10.4 AFR needs to be found and fixed, and then the car must be re-tested.

Cheers Dmitri, i was hoping you'd reply with clarification of what you saw when we were playing the other day.

The car has literally driven home from the mapping session, sat on the drive, then driven down to the dyno today.

With the 510cc injectors running at 95% i just can't help think it should have pulled more than 430bhp unless there was another problem.

            At 4krpm AFR is 11.8. At 5k 11.2, by 6k 10.8 and 10.2 by lift-off at 6.6krpm. That's consistent for all 4 pulls we did.

Is that an indication of what might be wrong, with AFR slowly dropping as load increases?

Sky high IAT or lots of knock.
But on that dyno IAT was fine when mapping JP's.

Try Tescos 99? Is it reproducible on the road? I need to dig out a log, but I doubt I ran it any richer than 11.5 up top.

it doesn't look like knock to me. I would expect the torque curve to peak, then cut back. I can't see it do that on the log either. But I stand to be corrected.

Did someone say something about projects never being finished?

I really wish i had IAT on zeitronix now.. might plumb it in. Is there a pin on the ECU i can tap like is done with rpm/tps?

The car was filled up with a fresh tank of tesco 99 minutes before the run, and i was just thinking i'll do a run on the road and log it to compare.

it was very naive and ambitious of me to think this car would ever be finished

Knock wise - if there is too much knock, ECU drops AFR by a certain amount until the end of the pull. It won't go back until the throttle is released.
I've got it mapped to drop about a point. So 11.4 would become 10.4, and so on.

The fuel curve looks 1 point rich after onset, so that is why I think ...
Might be as simple as pulling 1.5 deg of timing.

The problem with dynos is, is that they don't quite emulate the road, so you visit load cells on a dyno which you would normally never visit on the road and vice versa.

Shell V-power is much better then tesco 99.

Really? I'm not sure there's much in it - but subjectively my car runs better on Tesco99

Even if I could get Tesco99 where I am, I still wouldn't trust it. Supermarkets are known for cheap fuel, not quality fuel.
But even Shell have been known for the odd dodgy batch of fuel. It's handy when you can keep an eye on timing pulls with VCDS.

I found a couple of Jeffry's plots from many years ago, with and without an air filter.

                            Knock - knock. Who's there?

That why I add methanol injection, make it safe from bad quality fuel, but always use shell v-power.Sonic did you always run your car on tesco99?

Actually I think it was mapped on V-Power?
                                Hmm...

Anyway, we'll sort this out remotely easily
But pressure test it just in case.
