You pretty much should use it on a Tial gate, the thing I am not a fan of, is the diaphragm based design which is what necessitated the cooling in the first place.
I like piston gates more, such as the Synapse. They tend to be more controllable as well...

But no idea how it is with packaging...

I would say the wastegate should always flow enough, so that boost can be lowered to spring boost. It is not a good idea to have boost creep on a car.

I'm hoping to get some serious use out of the car this year, growing on the bedford/oulton/nurburgring sessions i had last year whilst still resolving a few issues with the car, so much so that i thought it prudent to look into some track day alloys - http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=63839

I have an epic weekend in Wales planned towards the end of March which will provide a good mix of driving conditions to shake-down the car, and i've just booked a nurburgring / spa track-day in April.

I'm looking at some Bedford and Silverstone track days also as they're right on my doorstep, and would love to tick off Donington this year.

Still limiting boost immediately after gear-change above 6krpm apparently, obviously not quite making target boost but needs to be tweaked for the new WG anyway.
