We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links
Ok, the 530bhp monster is dead. I have listened to (some ) advice and have drawn a line under it.
This new thread is not quite starting anew, but will list progress from the dead car I have now through to its resurrection and new life :mischeif:.
My collection of parts is in progress and I will post as I go along.
Unfortunately, new parts are NLA in the main. Due to the well documented smash and the appalling repairs, here are a few bits I have managed to get hold of for the old girl.
New bonnet
New bumper - to hide new IC (this will be customised later)
Well done Chris.... Go for it mate, but can you fill in the blanks to what's happened... Are you sticking with the old girl (the basic car),? the old girls engine?, the turbo?...
PM if you like but I need to know...

THe Pectel is still a very good unit but overcomplicated, meaning more than anything, only one or two people can map the system. As has been shown with my 'episode', even fewer can actually do it properly. Therefore, there could well be new ECU and if so, will most probably be KMS MD35 unit with new custom loom.
Most importantly, the interface, although a little more complicated than some, should still be easily manabgeable by reputable tuners who know what they are doing. The software and manual is downloadable from their site.
Not sure on turbo option yet. As tuner is installing their own dyno, can exchange a couple of turbo's and map to see best option. I want to get it right this time and then leave alone.
The two main conteneders on the table at the moment are the T61, but with different trim which Ahmed Bayjoo has come across.
Also CompTurbo CT355 which Jyrki is supplying. If this is half as good as Jyrki thinks, I could be very pleased
ill remeber that and quote you on it next time this year..
this has been a long time coming mate, cant wait to see you enjoy it again

I am talking just about the engine here
Mind you, by the time this project is finished, I'll be even older. Maybe I will develop Alzheimer’s by then?
These are needed due to the fact they were damaged by the imcompetant moron that had my car to repair it following the last tuner smashing her up.
Note the N/S rear trim is missing and the N/S front is very slightly damamged.
Has anyone got these lying about -stab in the dark?
Hi Chris,
Nice to see you staying up beat after ALL your woes.
If you haven't already, get yourself over to www.classic-audi.co.uk , they are well into their older Audi's and will be able to help you out with bits...
Best of luck mate!
Cheers,
Steve.

Best of luck mate!
EDIT: just realised those bits are the ones I sent you a while back I'll see who i can contact about possible replacement ones.
