You can change the style the forum displays by selecting your preferred style at the bottom left of the site.
We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links
Engine is out. Awaiting a couple more parts. Once these arrive off for re-build.
The Comp Turbo will be tested but is not final choice as yet. THis will be determined on the dyno :mischeif:

Chris - just curious, who was it who did your original engine build i.e. changed the rods etc, that part at least seems to have held up well from what I know.
btw still got that bumper sitting here whenever you want it, its not in the way so no rush just happy to help with your project.
post #39 shows the slots for both new and old IM. The big small ones are from Jyrki's manifold. The big ones were basically a waste of time and did very little.
Peter, I can't begin to tell you just how much the bottom end has been through, including the crank bolt sheering off at GTi some years ago. There has been a fiar bit of luck as much as anything else I guess. Rods and pistons from USA - Cunninghams who make a lot of the racing stuff out there. All put together by Ashford Motorsport (who are now in Dover). I have learnt the hard way that although the time taken to do some work can get leave you frustrated, at least effort is put in ant the results are usually good. The issues I had after fitting the T61 would have been resolved free of charge but I ran out of patience and went elsewhere where through their incompetence they tried destroying my engine. This was a reputable tuner, so completely reinforces the adage - better the devil you know.
As for the bumper, it has been so long I have completely forgotten about it.
Waiting for EM to arrive and then engine will be off to be checked and reassembled.
If it's not in your way, can I leave it with you until I need it?
