I think Jamo is referring to the fact that usually the catch tank return is below the oil level.

If you look at the catch tank the bottom of the tank which is normally the return to sump is connected to the block outlet for oil vapour this is supposed to be connected to the top of the catch tank.

Is there a 'how to' write up anywhere of installing catch tank with return. Is there a huge benefit to this?

just spent the past couple of weeks sorting my body work out and getting the paint done (see thread on classic audi) not played under the bonnet 4 a while but i dare say the urge will take hold again funds permitting

6 Speed Gearbox

Happy New Year to everybody!
Well I can report a small amount of progress on this one.
My engine has been reassembled and is now waiting for my tuner to finish his dyno cell. He is waiting on just a few items to complete this now, so once there, full steam ahead with mapping some engines.
TOday however, I did finally get around to fitting the 6 speed gearbox using the custom fitting kit from Patrick in Belgium.

So it was out with the old







And in with the new:

All in all, not much progress, but a small amount forward is better than none.

ooooooh pretty. Really great start to the new year seeing you have some progress on this mate. Maybe someone switched the little light back on in that tunnel? Is it back with H now?
