They are well made and work well if you want a variable one but any leak on the inlet causes a slight hesitation on boost build-up, changed teh DV, car felt a lot better. You might decide differently, just sharing my experience

No worries, thanks for the input. I'll be wary of leakages, did yours leak when set to recirculate or when set to vent too atmosphere or both?

The leak was between inlet and atmosphere as there's no seal on that part of the valve, the pressure side was fine. Try it on max volume and try not to wet yourself laughing, it's something else! I set mine on the first click where there's some atmospheric dump, between 2 and 4 from fully recirc, worked OK, also tried the preload adjuster but had it fully loose in the end. There was a hesitation on WOT application with all but fully recirc tho and it backfired a bit too, fun but not correct.

Glad to see you liked it

The weld look awful though ( thats because the pipe are thinner than the bends, and the pipe is 304 and the bends are 316, due to weight)

hitting the subframe? really?, didnt do that on mine, hope new mounts help

Alex, the welds are fine mate, that one at the top is slightly unsightly but I don't doubt it's strength. I'm going to re-wrap it once I'm happy with the fit and had a bung for my wide-band O2 sensor welded in. It only just catches the sub-frame, I'm going to have a day in the garage tomorrow and work out if new mounts should cure it.

Jamo, nice one for passing it my way

Where in your opinions would be the best place to mount the EGT probe for my Zeitronix set-up. Before the turbo or in the very top of the down pipe?

you mean between flange and cone?

that one is welded on the inside, because the flange dont get as crooked by the heat then

Nice to hear that you liked it though

Repo advised me to mount mine in the turbo hotside ( which has been done on the new hotside ) if this isn't possible as close to the turbo downpipe outlet as possible.

The Downpipe is quality I hope my new one will be when I have it done as part of a larger exhaust remake

Oh, forgot to say, dont know if jamo said it, but, as you see the joint from dp -> exhaust is right were the mounting point for OEM cats are. so take an regular exhaust clamp, and make an bracket to bolt to the gearbox, and there you have an bracket for free in the clamp

Yep, I've noticed that. I was thinking of supporting it on the other side of the flexi as well with a sprung bracket using the drive shaft heat shield mounting points.

Mine was good with only in the gerabox, but remember to use something like this between bracket and exhaust

Cool, I was going to used compressed springs to allow for movement but those rubber mountings you show would probably be a better job, will they take the heat??

mine managed the heat without problems, so i think so
