    lol, no crail, I think launching would be pushing my luck with clutch and rear diff.

    Spare injectors are Delphi 440cc.

    Current plan is to install the stock downpipe, fit the new exhaust, then maybe later finish off the 3" downpipe.

    I will let you know if its going.

          • Another couple of hours, bellhousing bolts fitted, and swapped turbos/manifolds

            This is getting silly



            Old and new



            Back here again



            Oil filter housing off to get to the middle nuts (new manifold has much bigger runners)



            New manifold on



            RS2 turbo on



            Removal, wheel bolt in the centre to push off.





            New billet goodness



            And then ECP sent the wrong idler pulley



            And then ECP sent the wrong timing belt





            And that was the end of any car enthusiasm for tonight

                  • More slow progress.

                    Gates timing belt kit from the local motor factors, comes with an INA bearing.



                    Water manifold with new seals



                    Fitted



                    Water feed to turbo run round the front of the block, rear timing belt cover fitted.
                    New water pump seal
                    New idler
                    New timing belt fitted.
                    New oil filter and oil, cranked the engine over by hand.



                    Oil feed fouls the coldside, does the coldside just need clocked a bit or the line gently fettled? Water feed looks tight as well

                      on my AAN engine was the rs2 turbo with that manifold a straigt swap so oil and water pipes fitted well for me
                      maybe a 3b has other pipes?

                      • I cant wait for you to finish this so i can get a run in it.
                        Campbell still has ABY oil and water lines i think so let me know if you need them. I think someone has used AN fittings for oil inlet on bigger compressors, Tonks maybe.
                        I think ill get mine made up at hydraulics place down the road from me when the time comes.

                        • On the ABY when I switched to wagner manifold and RS2 turbo the water line needed some bending to fit right, don't think we had any problems with the oil line as far as I can remember

                            • That's odd I've got a 12-15 mm clearance on my 3B with RS2 stuff bolted on.

                              On a more positive note your can't go wrong with Gate's belt kit's their OE quality.

                                Is the coldside clocked slightly different on an AAN?

                                Probably just heat it gently and bend it, best get my dad to heat it though, last time I tried heating a thin pipe I just slagged it
