I used M8 stainless rivnuts to added 2 new earth points for the engine earth straps - worked very nicely

Good progress so far. You can have my 10v radiator if you want? What EGT gauge have you got?

No didn't galvanise andy, my buddy with the steel shop did them for me cheap using heavy zinc marine primer, it looks great btw but will be getting por15ed me thinks. Had a chance to see them raw, wee bit of pitting in the rear but the front subframe was like new which is not bad for being a few years older than us

I just ordered a new one from ebay, cheap and gets delivered Thanks though.

Ebay cheapo EGT with a painted bezel and red LEDs fitted. Seems to work, however the probe is thick compared to the more expensive ones so slower to react? Tips dont fall off though. It is interesting to see EGT change under load/boost etc.

Sounds good, I would like to do my spare front and the rear one when I fit the alloy bushes.

                  Planning to put the battery in the rear boot section;

Cut out the back hook from the old battery tray

                  And clamp this side

2 bits of 3mm steel as a ghetto spacer

And 3mm of clearance (using allen keys as feeler guages)

Got the "new" 2.75" exhaust out the loft and unwrapped it

                  A bit scabby

Broken bots removed, I might cut the old flange of the original exhaust if needed

                      That would be awesome

S6 avus wheels, 17x8 et35 with 255s, picked them up ages ago, probably back a year

Did you use longer wheel bolts with your 3mm shims?

                        Nice - 255s are WIDE!
I did use longer bolts, but I had to anyway with the BBS as the hub boss on the wheel is thicker. You will probably be fine with just 3mm shim though. You might find that tie rod still rubs a bit depending on the orientation of the TRE. I think I ended up with around 5mm clearance

                        This any good to you?

I will check thread engagement, and just see how I get on with any rubbage.

                              PMSL

There are about as much stancetard cars near me as there used to be ricers.

Mates little brother has one, its useless to drive, slow and takes ages to weave its way around everything etc.

                              (plus it looks stupid)

At least the missus wont kerb my rims
