Probably go for helix paddle or similar so when I swap engines over I don't have to worry. Been so busy with fixing up another house that I haven't thought much about it.
Sounds like you have Scotlands fastest bathtub then

I take it the next engine is a while down the line if you are going to do the clutch first.

    Good luck with your latest.

Spent an hour and a half in the garage this evening.

Flywheel and clutch on, engine in!

I had to drop the front of the subframe to get the engine in, the bottom of the engine was snagging the subframe, and even with the gearbox tilted up until it hit the steering arm it would not line up.

      Rough AAN intake check

Good to see it going back together

I see your planning on making an AAN manifold work, will be interested to see how you get on with this as it's something I'd like to do to mine in future.

Nice one Andy, looks like that rad will work well with a Pacet fan or something similar. Be interested to hear your thoughts Vs the stock one once its up & running

              Thanks guys

Yup Pacet, or take a wander around a yard with a measuring tape.

Hopefully it will be more responsive, should be loosing a couple of metres of pipework! Also less heat?

It will be hard to compare though, I have not driven it in years, faster spooling larger turbo, different chips, different exhaust etc.

Ideally it will drive like stock, but with an elevated power band, 320-340bhp with faster than stock spool! Not the fastest, but should be fun/quick to actually drive cross country.

                V band "fixed"

I tried the non v band housing but it fouled the chassis so would need cut and welded like Ruffiano's.

                Coldside fitted.

Rad fan from the B5 might work, they're pretty low profile. I've got about 3 left over so far from the RS4 rebuild..

Could I ask you to throw your measuring tape around one the next time you trip over it?

Not been near the car for ages, working 6 days a week, and often long days

                        I saw Erikk's car with a Honda rad;

So decided to grab one for a look

A bit more wiggle room to play with.

AAN intake manifold seems to want to occupy the same space as the PS pump though

Not getting to spend enough time to solve problems is making me want to just get bolt on solutions, eg wagner Almost bought Rocco's Uniflex intake manifold, but it has no provision for IAT sensor.

That' the problem with these motors, they are so well engineered and packaged in most cases, if you change something it has loads of knock-on consequences.
I have now cut & welded my bulkhead plug bracket 3 times - too many bits trying to occupy the same space
