As usual JP, hats off to you for making all of us feel that our projects are inadequate and childish

I did contemplate bending the runners and shifting everything about but came to the conclusion that the gains to be had where not worth the aggravation to make it versus the idea of using the plenum as a resonant chamber. The throttle body has been relocated as it is and to shift it much further from it's current location would have meant loosing a load of things like abs aircon etc defying what the car is meant for

Putting all that aside these will be the last pics until installation now after it has been clear anodised for low maintenance. Hopefully it won't loose too much of it's shine but going chrome is not to my taste as it looses some of the purposeful industrial feel to it.

Back of the manifold where the vacuum take off plate sits slightly proud of the intake acting like a settling chamber/junction block. Incl two threads for earthing the various stock earth wires.

Front of the manifold with a take of for the dump valve

Underside not as shiny but didn't think it was worth wasting the time to only risk breaking of some of the more fragile components, Featuring air temp sensor, idle valve, carbon canister, co2 spray bar and a bracket to brace/support the manifold to prevent cracking.

Top of the manifold incl the mounting plate for throttle linkage

Hopefully the next update will be the brakes and then the car finished for UD

Pretty general overview of RPM vs runner length

I went through the same runner length debate when I built my intake for my URQ(and others), but there just isn't room to put a 12" overall length from the seat to the plenum base with a radiator on the side. With an urS, it seems like you have the room. How come you bailed on getting the correct 2nd resonance? Surely you could have changed the TB location with your fab skills!

Love the manifold otherwise! Lots of cool ideas!

Depends on the volume of cylinderhead ports and diameter of tubing but without going back into my records it was around a 13" runner that I needed.

How long should the runners have been if space permitted? (I made a long runner intake, but didn't have a clue of the calculations you're using )
